blog picI joined the Deloitte Middle East “Tadarab” program at the beginning of June and since then I have been enjoying this internship experience. Deloitte heavily invests in your personal and professional development. During the “Ahlan” or Induction Session, there were a lot of presentations and e-learnings which reinforced the commitment of Deloitte to its talents. I also learnt that networking and charity events were organized throughout the year and co-workers were strongly encouraged to take part in them.

From the onset, I was assigned a “buddy” who accompanied me on a daily basis and explained the different tasks I was assigned. I spent the first few days in the office and I met different people who all shared a common sense of belonging.

I was able to build trust with my team mates and sought for constant feedback. They patiently explained to me the audit tests that I had to perform and they were always ready to provide guidance and support. Moreover, they allowed me to interact directly with the client while performing my work which strengthened my self-confidence and enabled me to expand my knowledge and skills in the field. The manager gave me the flexibility to organize my time the way I wanted as long as deadlines were respected.

There are few days left in my internship and I have thoroughly I enjoyed the three months I spent at Deloitte. I value the technical skills that I acquired and the maturity and responsibility I gained. This has truly been a learning experience.
