thumb_rec_glb_ho_2331_resize_1024_0 (4)As I navigated a set of E-learnings at Deloitte’s office during my first days as a “Tadarab” intern, I was akin to a star-struck teenager upon meeting her idol.

Ambitious to the core and passionate to the bone, I am an MBA student thirsty for new learning horizons. With high aspirations for the future, I worked diligently through a demanding program in one of the world’s top business schools. While reading Harvard business cases, I had my sights set on the leading firms of our time, and one in particular: Deloitte.

My window of opportunity came thanks to my school’s summer internship option. Since then, I have been on one roller coaster journey searching for the perfect organizational fit. I found my professional match with Deloitte, a company celebrated for its unique corporate culture and for its commitment to developing its employees’ talents.

Completing 13 E-Learnings effectively fostered my understanding of financial statements, accounting policies and the basic use of Deloitte’s Audit software as well as refreshed my memory on the critical issues of Ethics, Independence and Confidentiality. However, my knowledge of the Audit approach was put to the test once the management assigned me to a job with a team of experienced auditors.

One month later, I have become quite adept at applying specific analytical procedures targeting the Asset section of the balance sheet to uncover material misstatements in the client’s financial statements whether due to error or fraud. In addition to that, I have proofread countless financial statements pertaining to clients from multiple industries.

Lastly, I have strengthened and built a solid understanding of the Audit field by virtue of Tadarab’s 2 months internship program. I not only harnessed my technical and analytical skills, but also gained friendships for life. A golden opportunity indeed.
